Children's Candle Classes
A one-hour class designed for your children to explore the art of candle making.
When I make candles in the studio, I watch my daughter with delight and deep curiosity, whether she’s smelling the hunks of beeswax, counting candlesticks or rolling spools of wick across the floor, her excitement is what led me to offer classes for children.
Distilled into simple teachings, we will discuss the ancient history of burning beeswax, beekeeping and candle magic, all while learning how to make candlesticks with a hands-on and play focused approach.
These candle classes are intended for ages 4-12 and can be done at the studio or in the comfort of your own home. After the class, you and your family will have 6-10 candlesticks to burn in your home, whether it’s for a special occasion, at dinner or before bedtime.
These classes run on a heart based barter system that celebrates creativity and community. Rather than a set fee, we trade in value. You might offer something handmade, homegrown, or from the heart - or perhaps a skill or service that holds meaning and intention. The $5 fee contributions to the administration of the program.
An email will follow the purchase of your class to start the process.
